A massive search descended upon a rural southeast Texas farmhouse Tuesday, June 7, where a woman “claiming to be a psychic” placed a call Monday night to report that the graves of up to 30 dismembered bodies, including those of children, could be found on the property. Tuesday, the alleged “psychic” called once again to tell officers they were searching the wrong part of the property.
The authorities had originally given credence to the unidentified female caller because they said she knew details of the home’s interior.
Investigators went to the property, where they found blood and the strong smell of decomposition. The smell was found to have been caused by rotting meat in a non-functioning freezer.
The FBI helped in the search, accompanied by 15 squad cars, search dogs, and a helicopter to comb the area. The search proved futile in turning up evidence of any corpses buried on the property. Investigators now want to talk to the caller.
(Of course, they want to talk to the caller! )
She falsely reported a crime. She falsely claimed she had “psychic” ability.
THIS is precisely the irresponsible behavior I have pointed out previously in my official blog. Those who wish to ‘help’ – those that feel they have some sort of intuitive ability (perhaps after they had watched a tv program on psychic detectives, such as the series I had starred in, “Haunting Evidence”) – those that are just simply lunatics looking for a little attention.
This ‘psychic’ who called in the false tips to law enforcement is, in fact, not a psychic at all. (Well, not known to anyone else, but her.) She could have easily said she was a doctor, lawyer, teacher … it would have been the same.
An unadulterated LIE.
A ‘wannabe’ reflected in the most dangerous kind of wishful thinking.
I cannot condone any of it.
This behavior threatens to tear at the very fabric of any credibility displayed by AUTHENTIC psychics, mediums, and psychic profilers such as myself.
These so-called psychics/ mediums – without a stitch of decorum for the gravity of any given crime scene, immediate family member, or law enforcement agency – have no business soliciting their ‘impressions’ without formal invitation to do so, or express training in the field.
My personal name – Carla Baron – which carries a marked degree of fame and international prowess as a psychic/ medium and profiler, is even being
dragged through the muck of disrepute with these latest news headlines.
Why is it that most MEDIA outlets (and many lesser media – i.e., blogs, discussion forums, individual websites) find it necessary to use my famous name to promote their articles, commentary, and news pieces? I know the adage that “All press is good press,” …but not so here.
The news reporters should take more care in their proverbial mudslinging and marring of good names out there. My name of note in this psychic field, as well, on television, is not for the sale of personal wares, or promoting otherwise stale news stories that need
‘plumping up,’ or driving traffic to sundry lackluster websites.
(For this list of reasons, I will not be linking to these sites/ articles here on my blog.)
Sensationalism still rules in these times of ‘everyone-must-have-complete-access-to-all-information-from-the-second-it-happens’ trend.
Well, maybe the reporting entities should actually think before they publish
in the times ahead.
My mind is beseiged at the moment with images of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692.
From June through September of 1692, nineteen men and women, all having been convicted of witchcraft, were carted to Gallows Hill, a barren slope near Salem Village, for hanging. Another man of over eighty years was pressed to death under heavy stones for refusing to submit to a trial on witchcraft charges. Hundreds of others faced accusations of witchcraft. Dozens languished in jail for months without trials. Then, almost as soon as it had begun, the hysteria that swept through Puritan Massachusetts ended.
Why did this travesty of justice occur? Why did it occur in Salem? Nothing about this tragedy was inevitable. Only an unfortunate combination of an ongoing frontier war, economic conditions, congregational strife, teenage boredom, and personal jealousies can account for the spiraling accusations, trials, and executions that occurred in the spring and summer of 1692.
Is history not only repeating itself, but mutating into ardent new ways of
Modern psychics have garnered a place in our worldwide mainstream media of 2011.
There is no denial.
No escaping this fact.
We’re here now to stay.
The reason my name is such a lure to the media out there today is simple – my psychic skills are viable, accurate, and consistently present throughout the years.
I would not have remained in the public eye – or continued
to be highlighted on television around the world for this length of time –
without having the right psychic ‘stuff’ to back it up.
